Last week was a good one. A typical school week, and I spoiled myself on Thursday with some shopping: 3 dresses (secondhand), a pair of shoes, and a mani and pedi. Feels great to do that every once in a while!
Friday was the beach again. We returned to Jaco for another fabulous time. We stayed at Beds on Bohio, a great hostel close to the beach and city center. I definitely recommend it, it was good enough to stay at two weekends in a row. Caught up with people we'd met the weekend before, along with new friends. I really need to make a list of where I've met people from while here in Costa Rica...France, Norway, Australia, Finland, Nicaragua, Panama, Germany, Great Britain, Canada, Denmark, Sweden...those are just the ones off of the top of my head. Talk about sharing culture! It has been fabulous, sharing the lives of so many.
Sunday was a day of homework (I managed to squeeze in an afternoon nap), and this evening I cooked for my family here in Costa Rica: American spaghetti, corn, and garlic bread--delicious! It is "Finals Week" for us now. My last day of Creative Writing was today, Environmental Science exam tomorrow, and Spanish exam on Thursday. I am still not ready to be done, my heart aches at the thought of leaving this beautiful country. And I feel I have so much further to go still in my Spanish speaking skills. I'll have to continue to study once I return to Minnesota.
I leave you with that, to study for my science test. Buenos noches, mis amigos!
Peace, and love, always.
