What a wonderful and enriching experience I had in Costa Rica. Forever grateful for my time there, I owe an enormous thank you to all who had an impact--and you are many! Friends, professors, travelers, family--you will always have a place in my heart. Thank you.
Back on Minnesota soil, I am pleased to discover a much warmer climate than that which I left behind 10 weeks ago! There are mere patches/mounds of snow slowly dying along roadways. This is so much better than the viciously biting 30 degrees below-zero that I left in January. I did see some snow flurries during my drive home last night, and it did take 5 minutes to deduce that they were snow flurries--rather than bugs--that were raining from the heavens. The snowstorm being predicted for today should be a lot of fun! Mother Nature's version of welcome home. Bring it on! :)
I now sit here debating where to start: the mounds of unopened mail, the masses of unpacking to be done, homework that is due Monday, friends to catch up with...I have plenty to keep me occupied during this free weekend before returning to work on Monday. I would also like to write a detailed blog about my time in Costa Rica, as well as the Study Abroad experience. I will get to it, with time.
It feels good to be home! It is good to see friends and family. It is good to see familiar things (car, pillows, electric toothbrush) as well as things I'd forgotten about (unopened bottle of wine on my desk!). Time now, to get to it!
Hasta luego, mis amigos!
Peace and love, always.
