Today topped out at a mere 75°F, which felt cool when we're used to experiencing 90°F. My heart goes out to all who are currently experiencing cold winters, I am nowhere near ready to return to Minnesota!
Last week we were able to visit INBio, an Institute for Education and Conservation of the environment in Costa Rica. We saw many plants and animals, and learned about their research and the history of the environment here. They really have come a long way, and are making strides in becoming as environmentally aware and responsible as possible. It's great to see recycling stations everywhere, and learn of the programs that they have initiated in schools. Starting with the children is the best way to build a better future.
The weekend consisted of movies, the pool, the farmers market in Grecia, good food, pastries and coffee, and homework. I'm taking a Creative Writing class and Environmental Science class in English. Two professors from Minnesota are here on campus. Between these two classes and my Spanish classes, it adds up to 15 college credits in eight weeks. A heavy load, with much homework. Tomorrow is a test in Science, so I'd better review for that.
Sending warmth to all who are dealing with a rough winter. I'm forever grateful for my opportunity to spend time in Costa Rica.
Hugs, love, peace. Always.
