My heart skips a beat when I realize that we are down to two weeks of Spanish classes. I'm impressed with the fact that I arrived here knowing no Spanish, and can now converse with the locals. Bear in mind I didn't say converse well, just that I can converse. :) Bit by bit, I'm getting there, and have trust that I'll have more fluency by the end of this dream trip. Practice makes perfect!
Last week I learned that my maternal grandmother died. Her health had been ailing, and she was getting old. Such is that beautiful circle of life. It would've been nice to be with my family during this time but I am thankful to have friends with me here in Costa Rica. Creating friendships all over the world is truly a beautiful thing. ♥
I was excited to hear that it warmed up in Minnesota! It gives me hope that the transition in April won't be completely devastating. And it makes me happy that my friends and family might have a chance to feel their toes for the first time since November! What a wonderful thing that will be.
Okay, time to finish homework before bed. A wonderful night to all, with nothing but the sweetest of dreams.
