Good morning, friends! What a beautiful way to kick off November, with full-on sunshine and sweater weather. I'm certainly loving it!
Up before the birds this morning I tied up some loose ends for the sale today, did some yoga, and am now enjoying a cup of tea with my Leaves candle burning. I can't think of a cozier morning setup, to be honest.
Between life and school, this week was a busy one. Reflecting back on Monday feels like three weeks ago! Yesterday I went on a college visit to the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. Already planning to go next fall, this visit cinched it for me. It is such a beautiful campus (although it was ranked ugliest in the Top 10??? What!?) and their nursing program kicks butt. The new nursing simulation lab is amazing. So, my next project is to perfect my application to ensure acceptance. They have pretty rigid standards, with a GPA expectation of 3.8 for admittance. Thankfully I've put in the effort necessary to maintain a good GPA so I now have the opportunity to attend the school of my choice.
My sister Hannah and I went to ScreamTown last night in Chaska, the biggest haunted attraction in the area. We (I) certainly screamed and had a fun time. It's been years since I've done a haunted house so it was fun to revisit.
And today is finally November 2nd, the Fall Extravaganza. I look forward to spending time at Harmony River, seeing my residents and co-workers, and enjoying a day of arts and crafts. And a beautiful day it is! I hope to see you there!
Absorb the sound of those leaves crunching underfoot...and I wish you peace.
