What a beautiful week this has been!
On Monday my sisters and I took off for Wyoming (to visit little sis and baby) at 6:30 am. A very peaceful 12 hour drive, I so enjoy the relaxation of being on the road. There's nothing like watching as the road unfurls, the miles ahead of us draped like ribbons across the land.
We had a couple of days of good old-fashioned sister talk, coffee, good food and laughs! My mom wasn't able to make it (will go next week instead) so it was really the first time the 5 of us have spent time alone together as adults. We all agreed that it was a wonderful trip!
My niece Halli (10 months) absolutely won me over this trip as well. She stole my heart completely! She's very selective with her baby kisses (even for mom) but she would crawl to me, look up with a smile, and give me kisses. She's an absolute doll.
I started the drive yesterday evening and drove us out of the sunset. I finished the drive this morning and drove us into the sunrise 12 hours later, it was very cool. The sun sure does take a speedy trip around old Mother Earth!
Let's be sure to drink in the beauty that surrounds us, it should not be taken for granted.
Peace.
